Debra Reed O’Connor Nixon died on Friday, July 17, 2009, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 50.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Nixon was a former jailer and radio dispatcher with the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward H. and Annie Mae Reed.

Survivors include her husband, Timothy R. Nixon of Vicksburg; her daughter, Ashley O’Connor of Vicksburg; her brother, Edward M. Reed of Monroe, La.; three sisters, Suzanne Robinson of Brandon and Nina Andrews and June Quidor, both of Vicksburg; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Price officiating. Burial will be in Hackler Cemetery in Warren County. Visitaiton will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Robert Bayler, Don Nixon, R.T. “Ricky” McGee, David L. Moore Jr., Tommy Cantin and Bill Robinson.

Honorary pallbearers will be John E. Bell, Dr. Brian E. Johnston, Paul Barrett, Sheriff Martin Pace, the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Will Halpin, James L. Halford, Johnny Kiser and Chuck Byrd.
