Jewelry, cash missing in Roosevelt burglary

Jewelry and cash were reported stolen in one of two burglaries in Vicksburg Thursday, police Sgt. Randy Blake said.

A 10-carat gold herringbone necklace valued at $1,500, $700 in cash and a 10-carat gold diamond cluster ring valued at $400 were reported missing from a home in the 2600 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 12:47 p.m.

Another burglary was reported at a home in the 600 block of Adams Street at 6:29 p.m. Blake said the suspect entered the home through a window, but the victim did not report anything missing.

Two thefts reported on Jeff Davis Road

In Warren County, an air compressor and an all-terrain vehicle were among items reported missing Thursday, both on Jeff Davis Road.

A Central Pneumatic 2-horsepower air compressor valued at $200 and a General Wheelhouse 5550 generator valued at $600 were reported stolen from a shop in the 2800 block of Jeff Davis Road at 5:46 p.m.

A 2009 Honda Rubicon all-terrain vehicle valued at $9,500 was reported stolen from a home in the 400 block of Jeff Davis Road at 4:09 p.m.
