Monte D. Henegan

Mrs. Monte D. Henegan died Monday, July 13, 2009, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was 69.
Born in Brookhaven, she was the daughter of the late Wilton Rand Dykes and Grace Lynn Kees Dykes.
A longtime resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Henegan had been a Clinton resident since 1998. She was a 1961 graduate of Mississippi State University. She was employed by The Street Clinic as a medical technician for 30 years, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of numerous professional medical organizations.
A former member of St. Michael Catholic Church, she was a communicant of Holy Savior Catholic Church in Clinton at the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Henegan of Clinton; two daughters, Alice H. Weathersby and her husband, Charlie, of Clinton and Cathy H. St. Mary and her husband, Kevin, of Yorktown, Va.; one son, Frank Henegan and his wife, Heather, of Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Jake and Russell Weathersby, Lauren, Hilary and Hannah St. Mary and Kate, Emma and Jack Henegan; and one brother, James R. Dykes of Clinton.
A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Savior Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas McGing officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday at Riles Funeral Home with a Christian prayer service at 5 and Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service.
