Double trouble

Traffic backs up along Oak Ridge Road this morning after a 1988 Ford F-150 truck careened into a ditch when its tire rod broke and the truck brought in to pull it out caught fire. Henry Baggett, 65 Baggett Road, told Warren County deputies he was westbound when the first truck left the road. He went home and got another truck, also a 1988 Ford F-150, to tow the first one. The second burst into flames as he attempted the rescue. Volunteers from Culkin fire department extinguished the fire, and traffic along Oak Ridge, including school buses, was delayed for about an hour. No injuries or citations were reported.
