Joseph O. Wilson Sr. died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 74.

Mr. Wilson retired from Bunge Corporation. He was a member of Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Corine and Jessie Wilson Sr.; one son, James Davis; three brothers, Countee Wilson, Jessie Wilson Jr. and John Wilson; and one sister, Eliza Mae Wilson-Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Wilson of Vicksburg; four daughters, Mary Ann Johnson of Kenner, La., and Ernestine Wright, Jennifer Wilson and Dianne Davis, all of Vicksburg; six sons, Joseph Wilson Jr., Danny Wilson, Timmy A. Wilson and Randy Wilson, all of Vicksburg, Jeffery Wilson of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Billy R. Wilson of Huntsville, Ala.; one sister, Marie Thomas of Albion, Mich.; two brothers, Eris Wilson of Jackson and Roy Wilson of Vicksburg; 30 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church with the Rev. Curtis Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with family present from 5 until 6 p.m.
