A Vicksburg woman was cut and the man with whom she shares an apartment was in jail after he cut her Saturday night, police said.

Kimberly Carr, 25, 1308 Hope St., was treated and released from River Region Medical Center after the cutting on her face wsa reported at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Vicksburg Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Darrell Green, 47, had fled by the time police arrived but was arrested after returning after the victim was home, Stewart said.

He was charged with aggravated domestic violence and was  in Issaquena County Jail this morning without bond pending his arraignment.

He also was being held for the Mississippi Department of Corrections for probation violation on a conviction of uttering a forgery in November 2007.
