Three Vicksburg men have been charged with grand larceny and three counts of residential burglary in recent break-ins in the Thompson Lake area in northwestern Warren County, Sheriff Martin Pace said Friday night.

Christopher Hayes, 21, 110 Bristler Road; James Nowell, 27, 2939 Scott Road; and Joseph Smith, 22, 102 Jeffery Lane, were being held without bond in the Warren County Jail Friday pending an initial appearance Tuesday in Warren County Justice Court, Pace said. Separately, Hayes had been arrested Wednesday on a probation violation and was being held for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

Pace said sheriff’s deputies have recovered an air compressor and fishing tackle, and were looking for other stolen items.
