First mass of the year

Bishop Joseph Latino of the Catholic Diocese of Jackson leads the first Mass of the 2009-10 academic year at Vicksburg Catholic School Thursday. The parochial school, which enrolls nearly 600 students, holds Mass once a month with local priests taking turns leading. (Meredith Spencer*The Vicksburg Post)
