McCourt, Holdiness are married June 13

Jason Michael McCourt and Kira Michelle Holdiness were married at 2 p.m. June 13, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church. Monsignor Patrick Farrell officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ricky and Linda Holdiness of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Jerry and Mary Ann Simmons and Lois Muirhead, all of Vicksburg.
The groom is the son of Karen McCourt and the late Michael McCourt of Monroe, La. He is the grandson of Kay Hamilton of Monroe.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were red and white.
Dorothy Brasfield, organist, presented a program of nuptial music.
Maid of honor was Ashley Wood of Little Rock, Ark. Matron of honor was Holley Downey of Starkville. Bridesmaids were Erin Estep and Pam Howard, both of Monroe; Brittany Anderson of Madison; and Kaci Holdiness of Vicksburg.
Gary McCourt of Monroe served as best man. Groomsmen were Evan McCourt, David Miller and Logan Thibodeaux, all of Monroe; Andrew Norwood of Little Rock; and Aaron Carpenter of Crossett, Ark.
Flower girl was Olivia Delcambre of Monroe. Ring bearer was Keagan Chandler of Conroe, Texas.
A reception followed at The Vicksburg. Hostesses were Penny Gibson, Barbara Vance, Myra Parker, Joan Ratliff, Lovie Magee, Brenda Manning and Shirley Riddle.
For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. They will make their home in Shreveport.
The bride is employed at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, and the groom is a student at LSU-HSC Medical School.
