Upchurch, Waring marry at St. Paul Catholic

Keith Douglas Upchurch and Jill Jordan Waring were married at 3:30 p.m. May 16, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church. Monsignor Patrick Joseph Farrell officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pierson Waring III of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anthony Gerache Sr. and the late Joanne Ryan Gerache and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pierson Waring Jr. and the late Betty Jeanne Williams Waring, all of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Andrea Jones Upchurch and the late William Douglas Upchurch of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Glenn Jones Allen and the late William Sherard Jones of Vicksburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Harrison Upchurch of McComb.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were sage-green and lavender. Flowers were placed in memory of the groom’s father and the couple’s deceased grandparents.

Nuptial music was presented by Dorothy Brasfield, organist, and Riley Harper, soloist.

Matrons of honor were Ryan Waring Cook of Ouray, Colo., and Jana Waring Kane of Bay St. Louis, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Katherine Dement Bailess, cousin of the bride, of Beverly Hills, Calif.; Amy Abraham Burr and Chesley Sadler Lambiotte, both of Vicksburg; Alexandra McLennan Cort and Erica Hand Sykes, both of Charlotte, N.C.; Ann Marie Dykes of Ridgeland; Melanie Campbell Engle of Washington, D.C.; Brooke Andrea Lawyer of Atlanta, Ga.; and Austin Abernethy Weaver of Birmingham, Ala.

Flower girl was Anne Pierson Kane, niece of the bride, of Bay St. Louis.

Best men were William Douglas Upchurch, in spirit, and William Joseph Monsour of Vicksburg. Groomsmen were Nicholas Anthony Banchetti of Houston, Texas; Wilson Alexandra Brown, Dr. Samuel Louis Pierce and Joseph Harman Willis, all of Jackson; James Michael Dykes of Sumrall;  Christopher Neil Ferrell and James Daniel Hobson III, both of Vicksburg; Chadwick Michael Monsour of Monroe, La.; John Patrick Spreafico of Oxford;  and Reid Hatcher Stone of Charleston, S.C.

Ushers were Scott Patrick Burr of Vicksburg; James William Guest of Oxford; Todd Shannon Monsour of Flowood; Neil Edward Simpson and William Bernard Steinriede IV, both of Jackson; and James Allen Walley Jr. of Ellisville.

Lectors were Leslie Ann Waring, cousin of the bride, of Nashville, Tenn.; Kathryn Grey Ferrell of Vicksburg; and David Roland Ford and William Dewitt Robinson, both of Ridgeland. Programs were distributed by Sarah Ruth Andrews and Elizabeth Dawn Bowers, niece of the groom, both of Vicksburg; and Ahleah Joanne Gerache, cousin of the bride, of Jacksonville, Fla.

Special wedding assistants were Mary Ruth Jones, Lynne Abraham and Carol Horn.

A reception followed at the Vicksburg Country Club. Guests were entertained with music by the Escalade Dance and Show Band.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to San Francisco and the Napa Valley.

They will make their home in Vicksburg. The bride is an agent for Jones and Upchurch Real Estate, and the groom is employed by Zimmer Orthopedics.

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s mother entertained the wedding party and families with a rehearsal dinner at the B’nai B’rith.

Announcement Party

The couple was honored with an engagement announcement party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Waring. Co-hosts were Dr. and Mrs. Robert Abraham, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Andrews, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Andrews, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Shower

Friends of the bride and groom hosted a couple’s shower at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Gosa in Annandale. Brunches

A wedding day brunch honoring the groom and his attendants was held at the home of Linda and Paul Banchetti. Assisting in hosting were Linda and Bill Monsour. 

On the morning of the ceremony, members of the wedding party, friends and family were entertained with a brunch at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Bailess.
