George T. Bryant

George T. “Buddy” Bryant died Saturday, May 9, 2009. He was 83.
A native of Westside, Miss., he was the son of Thomas and Blanch B. Harrell Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a logger for a number of years. He retired from the Warren County Highway Department. He was a member of Fellowship Church in Lorman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marshall “Butch” Bryant; a daughter, Veronica Medine; a sister, Evelyn L. “Shorty” Bryant; and a brother, Travis M. Bryant.
Mr. Bryant is survived by daughters, Rita Rousseau and her husband, Joseph Jr., and Deborah Trabeau and her husband, David; a son, Richard “Ricky” Bryant and his wife, Sena; sisters, Rose Thedford, Daisy Fetterman and Billie Prince; brothers, Edward Bryant, Johnny Ray Bryant and James Charles Bryant; special granddaughter, Beatrice Terry; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Rita Gragg.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Nation, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Rousseau III, Chris Trabeau, Jason Schexnayder, Brett Brown, Cheyenne Terry and Shawn Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Springer, Charlie Jackson, Mervin Lawrence and the Rev. Ernie Hall.
