Guns, games, missing in Vicksburg, Warren

Several items were reported stolen in the city and county Tuesday and this morning.

Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart reported on the city thefts.

A Wii video game console and a Wii sports video game valued at $300 were reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Sherwood Drive at 2:25 p.m.

A Dooney and Bourke purse valued at $100 and contents with a Samsung cellular phone valued at $150 were reported stolen from a 1994 Mercury Sable parked in the 1200 block of Finney Street at 6:26 p.m.

In the county, records showed a 30-30 Marlin rifle with a Mickey Mouse ear cover valued at $300, a .22 caliber automatic rifle valued at $100, a 12-gauge single shotgun valued at $100 and a 20-gauge single shotgun valued at $80 were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Kirkland Road at 12:37 this morning.

City man jailed for drug court

A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail today on a drug court violation, jail records showed.

Spencer Griffin, 19, 1929 Baldwin Ferry Road, was being held without bond pending hearing.
