UTICA — Christine Mobley Herren died Tuesday, June 9, 2009. She was 86.

A lifelong resident of Hinds County, Mrs. Herren was a member of Utica Christian Church where she served as an elder and was a state officer for Disciple Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston Lee Mobley and Mary Elizabeth Greer Mobley.

She is survived by two sons, Stan Herren of Madison and Lee Herren of Utica; two daughters, Martha Scott of Tucson, Ariz., and Jerrie Walker of Hazlehurst; one brother, R.C. Mobley of Utica; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Utica Christian Church with the Rev. Brad Hartzog officiating. Burial will follow at Utica Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica.

Pallbearers will be Phil Walker, Lee Walker, Richard Scott, Seth Herren, Kevin Camp, Brannon Rushing, Eric Walker and Brad Byerley.
