Jermecia A. Robinson has graduated from the Army ROTC Reserve Officer Training Corps Leaders’ Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky.

The four-week course is a leadership internship for cadets, allowing college students to experience and examine the Army without incurring an obligation to serve in the Army or ROTC. Cadets are observed and evaluated during classroom and field training exercises to determine their officer potential.

She is the daughter of Ernest T. and Carmall Robinson of Tallulah and a graduate of Grambling State University.

Rashone M. Smith has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as “Operation Warrior Forge,” at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Wash.

The training provides evaluation for all cadets in the aspects of military life, administration and logistical support. The primary focus of the course is to develop and evaluate officer potential. Upon successful completion of the course, the ROTC program and graduation from college, cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants.

A 2005 graduate of Vicksburg High School, he is the son of Gladys M. Smith and the grandson of John W. Smith, both of Vicksburg.
