James A. Keen

Mr. James A. Keen died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009. He was 92.
Mr. Keen was the son of the late James U. and Essie Roberts Keen. He graduated from Jett High School and was a veteran of the Army, serving in World War II and obtaining the rank of captain.
Mr. Keen was a retired foreman for Bechtel Corp. and was a charter member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Sue Wilson Keen, and four brothers.
He is survived by two sons, David Keen of Redwood and Jim Keen of Columbus; a sister, Betty Jewel Hill of Meadville; a brother, Hilton Keen of Hot Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren, Eleanor Claire Young of Birmingham, Ala., Kathryn Bonner of Redwood, David Dustin Keen of Bovina and Dru Holdiness of Vicksburg; and two great-grandchildren, Hunt Holdiness and Hank Holdiness of Vicksburg.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Keen officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Charles Hintson, Chuck Schneider, Larry Burroughs, Clarence Whitaker, Edward McKnight and Harry Martin III.
