Four auto burglaries reported over weekend

Electronics and weapons were hot in auto burglaries in Vicksburg during the holiday weekend, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

About $300, a 600-watt amplifier valued at $400 and two 12-inch subwoofers valued at $150 were reported stolen from a 1999 Ford Taurus in the 2200 block of Grove Street at 12:10 Saturday afternoon.

At 2:15 p.m. Sunday, a Kentwood CD player valued at $230 was reported stolen from a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in the 1200 block of Washington Street.

A .45-caliber High-Point handgun valued at $250 was reported stolen from a 1999 Chevrolet in the 900 block of Walnut Street at 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

At 2:05 Monday morning, a JVC CD player valued at $185 and two 12-inch Xplode speakers valued at $280 were reported stolen from a 1996 Honda Civic in the 100 block of Alcorn Drive.
