‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ today at Blue Barn

The Mississippi Arts Commission and Theatre Plus will present “Arsenic and Old Lace” at 3 p.m. today in Port Gibson.

The play, which made its debut in 1941, is a black comedy revolving around Mortimer Brewster, a drama critic who must deal with his crazy, homicidal family and local police in Brooklyn, N.Y., as he debates whether to go through with his promise to marry the woman he loves. The play was made into a movie, starring Cary Grant.
