Robert H. Eastman II

Services for Robert H. “Pipe” Eastman II will be Sunday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Willie Nettles officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Annie Lou Eastman; a daughter, Sylvia Moore-Mayo; four sisters, Annie Louise Eastman, Anna Lou Eastman, Martha Lee Parker and Emma “Sweetie” Walker; and a brother, Johnny Eastman.
Survivors include his wife, Rutha M. Eastman of Vicksburg; four daughters, Chandra Eastman-Hinkle of Arlingon, Texas, Shelia Eastman-Smalls of Garland, Texas, LaVette Eastman of Vicksburg and Elizabeth Eastman-Stewart of Dallas; two sons, Robert Eastmann III of Vicksburg and Curtis Eastman of Newark, Del.; three sisters, Sarah Cosey and Julia Cosey, both of Vicksburg, and Catherine Robinson of Detroit; a brother, William Eastman of Vicksburg; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends including the Scott, Williams, Moore, Buck and Hawkins families of Vicksburg.
Mr. Eastman died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 67.
Mr. Eastman attended Cedars Elementary and Rosa A. Temple High School. He was employed at Marathon-LeTourneau for 35 years as a sandblaster. He later was self-employed as a painter and was a member of Vicksburg Posse Truck Club.
