EDWARDS — Services for Thelma Jordan Howard will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Friendship M.B. Church in Edwards. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Edwards. Visitation will be from 1 until 7 p.m. Saturday at Lakeview Funeral Home with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Howard died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Promise Hospital. She was 86.

She was born in Edwards to the late Cleady Jordan and Rosetta Bright. She was a member of Friendship M.B. Church, where she served on the mother board.

She is survived by nine daughters, Katherine Morrison, Diane Mixon, Willie “Jean” White and Lillian Lee, all of Edwards, Retter Conway of Greenville, Rachel Carthan of Jackson, Jessie Lee Howard of Biloxi, Bette Shaw of Los Angeles and Marie Baker of Champaign, Ill.; two sons, Kenneth Howard of Jackson and Johnnie Howard of Chicago; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
