A common black bird, left, and a house finch stop for a drink of water from the bowl below the greek goddess Hebe’s feet, part of Bloom Fountain on Monroe Street. The fountain was named after Vicksburg resident Louis Bloom and was built in 1927 with money that he left in his will to the City of Vicksburg.
