Aviance Reed and Lamont Cogg will be married Feb. 27, 2010, in a private ceremony in Vicksburg.

Miss Reed is the daughter of Theresa Reed of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Christine Reed of Vicksburg.

Mr. Cogg is the son of Jaqueline Cogg of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Earlean Cogg of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of the Environmental Club, varsity basketball team and JROTC.

She received a criminal justice degree from Virginia College.

Miss Reed is a correctional officer at the Warren County Detention Center.

The prospective groom is a 1992 graduate of Vicksburg High School.

He attended Hinds Community College in Utica, where he studied pre-law.

Mr. Cogg is manager of Garfield’s Restaurant.
