A gun was reported stolen in an auto burglary reported in Vicksburg Friday.

A Rossi .44-caliber revolver, value unknown, was reported missing at 10:33 a.m. from a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban parked in the 500 block of Adams Street, said police Sgt. Beverly Prentiss.

The owner said the weapon had been stolen sometime Thursday, Prentiss said.

City man jailed on stolen goods

A Vicksburg man spent Thursday in the Warren County Jail after being arrested for receiving stolen goods, jail records showed.

Jessie L. Davis, 22, 530 Fairground St., was released that evening on $2,500 bond.
