Fredrick Robinson

Fredrick Robinson died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. He was 65.

Mr. Robinson was retired from the Ford Motor Company of Detroit. He was a veteran of the Army, a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University and a member of New Poplar Grove Methodist Church. He also played semi-professional basketball .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Lucille Robinson; six brothers, Eddie Robinson Jr., Andrew Robinson, James Robinson, Jesse Robinson, Levi Robinson and Luther Robinson; and four sisters, Juanita Younger, Rosalee Robinson, Doris Conroy and Mary Ann Wilson.

Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Debra Robinson of Vicksburg; four sons, Fredrick Robinson Jr. of Dallas, Jabari Robinson of St. Louis, Jollia Robinson of Vassar, Mich., and Fredrick Robinson III of Monroe, La.; three daughters, Demetria L. Robinson of Jackson and Deirdre Robinson and Dalphine Robinson, both of Vicksburg; a brother, Charles Robinson of East St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Betty Robinson of Vicksburg; 30 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including Katie Mae Robinson and Aronie L. Robinson of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
