Rosa Lee Stevens died Friday, March 5, 2010 at River Region Medical Center. She was 85.

Mrs. Stevens was born in Collinsville, Miss., and lived most of her life in Vicksburg. She retired from Sears as a salesclerk. She was a lifelong member of the Vicksburg Church of God of Prophecy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Norman Stevens Sr.; a son, Wilson Norman “Junior” Stevens; a sister, Marie Logan; a brother, Billy Huggins; son-in-law, John McGarrah; and her parents, Jim and Laura Huggins.

Survivors include a son, James and his wife Alice Stevens of Vicksburg; a daughter, Brenda McGarrah of Redwood; a sister, Jean Huggins of Shreveport, La.; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Glenwood Funeral Home chapel with Billy Stevens officiating, assisted by Ricky Dorrell. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 until 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tay Everett, Taylor Stevens, Tyler Stevens, Jordan Strong, Tim Strong, Sammy Stokes, Joey Leist and Rob Abel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Stevens, Billy Stevens, Susan Strong, Patricia Billings, Leslie Smith, Melanie Sanitello, Tina Tucker, Norma Wilkerson, Nora Rayburn, Angel Barnett, Sid Leist, Bobby Meador, John Burton, Maverick Wigley, Dr. Dan Edney and the Rev. David and Carolyn Sterling.
