Jeremey Harper scored 25 points, and Koury Davis had 23 points and eight rebounds to lead Warren Central to a 59-46 victory over Richland in its season opener on Saturday.

WC jumped out to a 33-29 halftime lead, then held off a late charge by Richland before pulling away late.

Devin Johnson added seven points for WC, while Corey Davis had seven assists.

“We had a pretty well-rounded game from all the guys. We dressed 14 and played 13, so it was a real team effort,” Warren Central coach Jesse Johnson said.

Terry Jones led Richland with 17 points and Antoine Cooper scored 10.
