A group of New Orleans veterans will bring war stories to Vicksburg this week in an event at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center.

On Friday evening, four members of the Speakers Bureau of The National World War II Museum will engage the community in stories and presentations from the days of their military service.

“The idea is for them to take the museum to people who cannot” travel to New Orleans, said Kacey Hill, a Vicksburg native and the museum’s communications director.
