Miss England to wed Mr. Hearn on July 24

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen England of Denham Springs, La., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Ann, to Ryan Anthony Hearn. Mr. Hearn is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Hearn of Vicksburg.
Miss England is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Guidry of Berwick, La., and the late Christine Hamby and the late David A. England of Grenada.
Mr. Hearn is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Brown and the late Hubert W. Hearn and Betty Hearn, all of Vicksburg.
The bride-elect graduated as valedictorian of Denham Springs High School, where she was a member of the softball team, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Louisiana State University with a minor in structural engineering.
She was a member of the LSU Honors College, Phi Mu fraternity, Tau Beta Pi and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Miss England is employed with State Farm Insurance in Baton Rouge.
The prospective groom is a graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where he was a member of Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society and the baseball, basketball and football teams.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering and a Master of Science degree in civil engineering, both from Louisiana State University.
He was a past president of Chi Epsilon and a member of American Society of Civil Engineers and Louisiana Water Environment Association.
Mr. Hearn is an engineer II with the Louisiana Office of Coastal Protection and Restoration in Baton Rouge.
Vows will be exchanged at 7:45 p.m. July 24, 2010, at Houmas House Plantation in Darrow, La. A reception will follow.
