Montana McDaniel threw five innings of one-hit ball and helped his own cause with an RBI double as Porters Chapel beat Russell Christian 9-0 on Tuesday.

McDaniel struck out eight and walked two in five innings. John Michael Harris doubled and drove in two runs, Cameron Upton had three RBIs and Colby Rushing had an RBI double. PCA (10-7, 7-1 District 5-A) scored four runs in the top of the fourth to blow it open, with two coming in on a misplayed bunt off the bat of Upton.

The teams are scheduled to play again Thursday at 6 p.m. at PCA.
