HATTIESBURG — Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss for Mr. Rhett Alexander Smith, age 21, who passed away Feb. 15, 2010, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Interment will follow at Prentiss Cemetery in Prentiss. The Rev. Randy Gardner will officiate.

Mr. Rhett Alexander Smith was born April8, 1988, in Memphis. He was the son of Edward N. Smith and Dana Hathorn Smith. He worked at Season’s restaurant in Hattiesburg as a waiter. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his mother, Dana H. Smith of Carson, Miss.; his father, Edward N. Smith of Vicksburg; his sister, Bridget Adcock (Eric) of Bovina; his grandparents, O’Neal and Sarah Hathorn of Carson and Ed and Mary Smith of Clinton; great-grandmother, Gladys Johnson of Clinton; and an aunt, Teresa Romero of Brandon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
