A fire left a Warren County family homeless Monday.

While the blaze was contained mostly to the living room and attic of the home at 1562 U.S. 80, smoke and flames caused damage throughout the residence, Culkin Volunteer Assistant Fire Chief Trey Smith said.

Smith said no one was home when the fire was reported at about 6:50 p.m. He identified the residents as Brent Smith, his wife and three children.

Smith said about 50 percent of the home was destroyed. “It’s not livable by any means,” he said.

Firefighters controlled the fire within 20 minutes and remained two hours to remove debris.

No injuries were reported.

Two TVs stolen on Old Highway 27

Two televisions were reported missing from a home in the 2800 block of Old Highway 27 Monday, Warren County records showed.

At 4:33 p.m., a Vizio 32-inch LCD TV valued at $400 and a 20-inch TV valued at $150 were reported stolen.
