Tallulah Academy headed to South State tourney

PORT GIBSON — Jes Shivers scored 22 points and Jake Busby added 13 as Tallulah Academy earned a trip to the South State Tournament on Saturday with a 61-46 victory over Tensas in the consolation game of the District 6-A tournament.
The South State Tournament starts Tuesday at Claiborne Academy.
On Friday, the Trojans (18-11) fell to Briarfield 63-59. Shivers scored 28 points and Busby added 18.
