Frances Maurine Clardy Clower

CLINTON — Frances Maurine Clardy Clower died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010. She was 88.

Mrs. Clower was a long-time resident of Leland, where she was a member of First Baptist Church and participated in productions at Delta Center Stage. She worked for Ayres Company for nearly 30 years. After retirement, she moved to Clinton, where she was a member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church and was in the Senior Sunshine choir and played dulcimer and hand bells.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Berry Clower; and a great-granddaughter, Magdalena Grace Roberts.

Survivors include a daughter, Dalma Clower Moore of Clinton; two sons, Dean Clower of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Russell B. Clower Jr. of Greenville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Dec. 7 at Lakewood Funeral Home.
