Funeral services for Ludy Perry Young Sr. will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Mt. Zion M.B. Church, with the Rev. Robert L. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home chapel.

Mr. Young died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at his home. He was 81.

Mr. Young was retired from Koestler’s Bakery and Vicksburg Chemical Company. He was a member of the New Mt. Zion M.B. Church, where he also served as chairman of the Deacon Board, taught Bible class and was superintendent of the Sunday school program. He also taught with the Sunday School Institute of Warren County.
