City native named tops in Clinton

A Vicksburg man has been named the 2010 Clinton Firefighter of the Year.

Richard T. Hanks is a 15-year veteran of the Clinton Fire Department, and has been a paramedic for 10 years.

Hanks is a lifelong Vicksburg resident. He served in the Marines.

Nominees for Firefighter of the Year are collected and passed on to the Chamber of Commerce, which names the winner.
