The Parent Teacher Fellowship of Porters Chapel Academy is hosting the school’s annual Spring Fling Saturday afternoon.
If you go
Porters Chapel Academy’s annual spring fling will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free, but there is a fee for tickets for games and activities. Spaghetti dinners are $5 each. Call 601-638-3733, or e-mail jtcbryant@bellsouth.net.
“We’ll use the funds for improvements to the library, like buy more books for the accelerated reading program and to get more computers,” said PTF president and event organizer Tricia Bryant.
Making a return this year is the spaghetti supper. Tickets are $5 per person, and include spaghetti, bread and tea.
The event will also feature bingo games for a $1 per card, a silent auction, a flea market and activities for children and teens.
Items for the silent auction include donations from each elementary class and area businesses, fishing equipment and restaurant gift certificates. The flea market will feature donated homemade items from parents and supporters.
“There’s lot of things to do for small children and middle-aged children,” Bryant said. “Our bingo prizes and silent auction are always awesome.”
Bryant is expecting nearly 200 people at the event, set for 4 to 7 p.m.
“It’s a good afternoon to have fun,” she said.
