Wynn, Jordan to marry Aug. 7

The engagement of Tasha Elaine Wynn to Rick Jordan, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 4 p.m. Aug. 7, 2010, at Greater Grove M.B. Church. A reception will follow at Baltes Gymnasium. All relatives and friends are invited to attend the ceremony; attendance at the reception is by invitation only.

Miss Wynn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Pate of Indianapolis, Ind. She is the granddaughter of Estella Williams and the late Louis Wynn Sr. of Vicksburg.

Mr. Jordan is the son of Shirley Sharpe of Chicago and the late Henry Jordan.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and yearbook staff. She attended Mississippi State University and Jackson State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science.

Miss Wynn is employed with the City of Vicksburg.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Harlan High School in Chicago. He attended Central Texas College in Killeen and Napa College in Napa, Calif.

He served in the Vietnam era in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy Submarine Service.

Mr. Jordan is a deputy sheriff with the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.
