A Vicksburg man was treated and released from a Jackson hospital this morning after being shot late Sunday night on his front porch, officials said.
James Ward, 32, 1220-B Filmore St., told Vicksburg police he was robbed by two men and then shot in the thigh by one of the men, Sgt. Sandra Williams said this morning.
Ward was taken to River Region Medical Center before being flown to University Medical Center, where he was treated and released, a spokesman at the Jackson hospital said.
Williams said Ward was found on his front porch, shot with a small-caliber pistol. No arrests had been made.
