Chris and Nicole Gilmer announce the birth of a 7-pound, 11-ounce son, Maddux Coulter, on Nov. 23, 2010, at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson.

Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Simmons Jr. of Vicksburg and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Coulter of Columbia, Miss. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Leon Gilmer of Vicksburg.
