Vicksburg police officer Bobby Jones jokingly jostles with Cody Ballard, 7, during a Halloween safety presentation at Dana Road Elementary Tuesday evening. Jones’ main tips were that children should stay with parents, stay on sidewalks, only go to houses with lights on, and let parents check the candy before it is eaten. Trick-or-treating in Vicksburg and Warren County is scheduled for 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Cody is the son of Racheal Ballard.
