Miss Nevels, Mr. Brock to recite vows Sept. 25

The engagement of Amanda Michelle Nevels to Christopher Dalton Brock, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Sept. 25, 2010, at Crawford Street United Methodist Church. A reception will follow in Floral Hall at the church. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Nevels is the daughter of Michael and Betty McDuff of Tallulah and the late Perry Nevels of Redwood. She is the granddaughter of the late Loyd and Mary Lou Nevels of Vicksburg and Mary Lee Nowell of Redwood.

Mr. Brock is the son of Carl and Jane Brock of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Mary Francis Glatt and the late Dalton Henry Glatt Sr. and Robert Lowery Brock and the late Martha Dale Brock, all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Warren Central High School. She received an associate degree in business management from Hinds Community College.

Miss Nevels is store manager at Perfumania.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Warren Central High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Mississippi State University in 2007.

Mr. Brock is project and safety manager for Fordice Construction.
