Irma Russum Dease died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 101.

Mrs. Dease was a teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic School for more than 25 years and at McIntyre Elementary School in the Vicksburg public school system.

She was also a musician who taught piano privately for many years, and for many years she was the ticket-seller at the Saenger Theater.

Mrs. Dease was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dease; her parents, Jimmy and Beatrice Russum; and her sister, Jimmie Russum.

She is survived by her cousin, Dorothy Brown; a nephew, Phillip Cameron; and other relatives.
