Services for Sammie “Boo” Brown Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Vicksburg City Auditorium with the Rev. Charlie Blackmore officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown died Friday, June 18, 2010, at his Vicksburg home. He was 48.

He was born in Tutwiler, Miss. He was a member of New Mount Pilgrim M.B. Church, a former member of the Minister Alliance and pastor of St. Luke Freewill Baptist Church and Christian Home M.B. Church No. 1, both in Vicksburg, and Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Edwards.
