PORT GIBSON — Nonnie Mae Jackson-Curtis died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 92.
Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. C.P. Curtis; and her parents, Albert and Mary Williams-Jackson.
She is survived by three sons, Edward Curtis and Charles Curtis, both of Jackson, and Albert Curtis of Port Gibson; four daughters, Mae Elma Buchanan of Crystal Springs, Dr. Thelma Spencer of Port Gibson and Deborah West and Majorie Curtis-Porter, both of Detroit; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including Jimmy Watson of Port Gibson.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at Welcome Baptist Church in Port Gibson, with the Rev. Johnnie Hughes officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery, with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Monday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family present from 5 to 6, and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service at the church.
