Hystercine Rankin

LORMAN — Hystercine Rankin died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 80.
Mrs. Rankin was a member and mother at St. Mark Baptist Church in the Blue Hill community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezekiel Rankin Sr.; her parents, Denver and Laula Meekins Gray; three sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by three sons, Ezekiel Rankin Jr. of Aurora, Colo., Teddy W. Rankin of Moss Point and Marvin Rankin of Canton, Mich.; four daughters, Myrtis Rankin of Memphis, Regina Rankin of Lorman, Debra Rankin of Glenview, W.Va., and Bonnie Jones of Stone Mountain, Ga.; four brothers, Walter Gray and Lovie Gray, both of Aurora, Wilbert Gray of St. Louis, Mo., and Joe L. Gray of Warren, Ark.; one sister, Vera Gray of Vicksburg; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Christian Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Harried officiating. Burial will follow at McCay Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home with family hour from 6 until 7 and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
