Bennie Bell “B.B.” West died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 85.

Mrs. West was a nurse’s aide for 20 years at Sydney Convalescent Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben Charles and Willie Florence Light Jaco; one daughter, Carol Jean West Cochrane; two sisters, Alice West and Frances Spencer; a granddaughter, Gwendolyn Cain; and a nephew, Jerry Spencer.

Survivors include her husband, Harold West; two daughters, Regina Diann Cain of Natchez and Ginger Lois Wicker of Tallulah; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery, the former Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Mathews, Trey Mathews, Brandon Mathews, Toby Wilkins, Alan Fort and Eddie Gillespie.

Memorials may be made to the Vicksburg-Warren Humane Society.
