Claude F. Wright Sr.

Claude F. Wright Sr. died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 87.

Mr. Wright was the son of the late James J. Wright and Mamie Wright Davis. He was in the United States Maritime Service and was a truck driver for Magnolia Mobile Homes, Miller Transport and Vicksburg Chemical. He was a founder and lifetime member of the Hills and Hollow Hunting Club.

Mr. Wright was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Wright; his stepfather, Bill Davis; and three brothers, James L. Wright, Dewey Wright and Charlie Wright.

Survivors include four daughters, Claudia West and Loria Carter, both of Vicksburg, and Tammy Darby Williamson and Sheree Fumei, both of Fayetteville, Ga.; two sons, Claude Wright Jr. of Vicksburg and Richard Wright of Hogansville, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home.
