Surveillance images of two suspects wanted on a theft by deception charge were released by police Monday.

The images depict a well- dressed Hispanic male and female, and Lt. Bobby Stewart said little more is known about the two.

On Friday, the two approached a woman in the parking lot of Walgreens on South Frontage and swindled her out of cash by telling her a story about a found bag of money. Stewart said the victim was led to believe she would profit from the situation if she withdrew money out of a nearby bank and exchanged it for the supposed found money.

The male suspect, said Stewart, waited in the bank lobby with the victim as she withdrew the cash. The woman waited in the Walgreens parking lot, said Stewart.

When the male suspect and victim returned, the male jumped into the Jeep Cherokee with the victim’s money and the two suspects fled.
