Mrs. Patsy R. Russell died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at her home. She was 82.

Mrs. Russell was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, having served and participated in many organizations. She served in national, state and local veterans’ service organizations. She was worthy matron of Acacia Chapter of the Eastern Star and was an active member of Bowmar Baptist Church, where she was a member of Senior Fellowship.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Glenn Elliott Prewitt and Thaddeus W. “Ted” Russell; two sisters, Mary Lee Cook and Dot Childers; and two brothers, William B. Parker and James E. Parker Jr.

Survivors include four sons, Ted C. Russell, De-        Wayne Russell and wife Beverly, Glenn E. Prewitt and wife Sharon and Gary J. Russell and wife Jackie; three daughters, Patricia P. Redditt and husband Chester, Gail R. Walker and husband Dennis and Becky Agostinelli and fiance David Cummings; two sisters, Frances Sibley and Thelma Leist; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry White officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Chad Redditt, McLain Walker, Amy Walker, Colin Agostinelli, Phillip Alatorre and Angie Crafton.
