Selena Williams

Selena Williams died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 84.
Mrs. Williams was retired from the Spiegel Corporation, Sears and Greyhound Bus Lines of Chicago. She was a member of the St. John M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Smith and Addie Pettis; a son, Leon Williams; three daughters, Bobbie Jean Byrd, Carolyn Wade and Virgie Williams; three brothers, James Pettis, Frank Dorsey, and L.D. Pettis; and two sisters, Georgia Neal and Tiny Smith.
She is survived by three sons, John Williams and Jerry Williams, both of Vicksburg, and Walter Williams of Chicago; two brothers, Robert Pettis of Vicksburg and Louis Pettis of Memphis; a sister, Jewel Pettis of Oakland, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. James Archer officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Yokena. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
