This letter is to thank Vicksburg’s finest — its policemen.

My husband was headed to work in Minden, La., on Monday. His truck stalled, and he had to pull over near the 5B exit of Interstate 20. Minutes later, a Vicksburg policeman pulled up and offered his assistance.

Not only did he help push my husband’s heavy mechanic’s truck to the nearest gas station, but he notified two other policeman to be prepared to flag traffic while they maneuvered his truck off the interstate. My husband did not get their names, but I hope that they will read this letter and know how much they are appreciated. These men are the true everyday heroes!
